Upload Pictures Without Changing their Size.

When you upload pictures in Blogger you are given three options : Small, Medium and Large for the Image Size. Your original image is resized and shown on the blog according to the option you choose here. When viewers click on the image then it is shown in the original size. For example the original size of the image below is 450 by 341 pixels.

After the image is uploaded click Done button in the popup window and shift to Edit Html tab in upper right corner of the Post Editor. This is the code for the picture I see at the top of the post editor window :

Within this code are the links for the smaller picture :

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjY3wKo4IrMbCWnG9XzGMeuLODVgJyJJbEbOfy-KUzUg3yidGkrl0j7u9QBHlmd7RJwJsbUPq0tuaSp_X2feHc3_varemx09YAm7UP9nJs4Esn9P7ckuTmMjPBwtxzmvW1vJC9zpHdmaPg/s200/bbdsnap450.jpg

and the link to the original picture which appears on clicking the thumbnail :

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjY3wKo4IrMbCWnG9XzGMeuLODVgJyJJbEbOfy-KUzUg3yidGkrl0j7u9QBHlmd7RJwJsbUPq0tuaSp_X2feHc3_varemx09YAm7UP9nJs4Esn9P7ckuTmMjPBwtxzmvW1vJC9zpHdmaPg/s1600-h/bbdsnap450.jpg

Notice the difference in the two links : "s200" directory stores the thumbnail while "s1600-h" directory stores the original picture. Otherwise the two links are the same. Even the picture name is not changed.

Now if you want to show the original sized picture in your post paste the second link in code as shown below AND REMOVE THE 's1600-h/' in the LINK :

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjY3wKo4IrMbCWnG9XzGMeuLODVgJyJJbEbOfy-KUzUg3yidGkrl0j7u9QBHlmd7RJwJsbUPq0tuaSp_X2feHc3_varemx09YAm7UP9nJs4Esn9P7ckuTmMjPBwtxzmvW1vJC9zpHdmaPg/"/>

Shift to Compose tap. If the picture still keeps in small sizes, you can enlarge it by simply click on the picture and pulls it out bigger, and the resolution of picture will be maintain as clear as original sizes.

IMPORTANT NOTE : If you want to put pictures in original sizes in your blog make sure that the width of the picture is smaller than the width of your posts column. If the width is more this can cause your sidebar to fall down below your posts column.

You're Always By My Side ....Very Touching

A man was walking across the road when he met with an accident. The impact was on his head which caused him to be in a coma for 2 days.

When he opened his eyes, his wife was by his side. He told her (in tears), "When I was struggling with my studies in the University, I failed again and again. Sometimes I even have to re-take my papers. You were there by my side, encouraging me to go on trying."

She squeezed his hands as he continued, "When I went for major interviews and failed to clinch any of the jobs, you were there, cutting out the job ads for me to apply..."

He added, " ...then I started working in this little firm and finally got a big contract. I blew it because of a small mistake. But you are still there for me." His wife was in tears.

The man said, "I finally got a job after being laid off for quite some time. But I never seem to be promoted and my hard work was not recognised. I remained in the same position from the day I joined the company till now. You are still beside me..."

His wife's tears trickled down as she listened to him, "And now I met with an accident and when I woke up, you are here with me. There's something I really like to say to you..."

She flung herself on the bed and hug her husband, sobbing with deep emotion.

Finally her husband said,

"I think you bring me bad luck-lah."

Chocolate_Floor Lamp

red dot award : product design 2008
The Chocolate floor lamp was based on the idea to combine high functionality with reduced style. Its form therefore follows the motto of consistent minimalism and takes the luminaire as a graphic element in space. The definite distinction of the materials aluminium and transparent crystal polycarbonate is the characteristic feature of this luminaire. An intelligent technology allows creating individual settings without considerable effort. By combining daylight with a movement sensor, Chocolate establishes an interactive relationship with the existing and the desired light conditions of the surroundings. Therefore the use of T16 fluorescent lamps saves up to 75 per cent of energy consumption. A Prismoptic reflector guarantees high light performance and agreeable visual comfort.

Baroque Lighting_Luminaire

red dot award : product design 2008

Baroque Lighting is a multifunctional and modular luminaire. It is composed of flexible basic elements with a triangular form that can be assembled to complex polygons without using any tools. This allows more combination options which in turn result in a multitude of forms. Thus, geometry becomes a game which motivates individual creativity to adapt the luminaire to different environments and moods. In spite of its playful character it displays an elegant and high-quality impression. It generates a warm light entering into an exciting interplay with the intersecting surfaces. Depending on the luminous intensity of the light source further options of creating new illumination effects turn up. Baroque Lighting can be used as pendant. Additionally, it features a straight-line hold adapting to any kind of luminaire thanks to its reduced form.

Anax_Pendant Luminaire

red dot award : product design 2008

The Anax pendant luminaire is named after the emperor dragonfly. Like the insect it seems to hover majestically in space without weight. This pendant illuminates objects and therefore becomes an interesting architectural element. Thanks to the LED technology the shape of the luminaire has been kept slim. By means of 18 warm white light emitting diodes Anax generates a soft light cone, which creates atmospheric lighting above a table or showcase. As LEDs are more durable and energy-saving than incandescent light bulbs their service performance is higher, and replacing the illuminant becomes unnecessary. The corpus of the luminaire is made of extruded aluminium and allows individual colourising.

Open Box pendant luminaire

red dot award best of the best : product design 2007

Between space and illusion We perceive most of what we see within learned patterns stemming from early childhood. Cognition also serves to render our raw sensory data into an understanding of space, something by which we orientate ourselves in daily life. The aim to redefine “space” thus always also implies the necessity to deal with the most elementary of our perception, as has been the case in the design of the unusual Open Box pendant luminaire: it is open and transparent like space itself and thus challenges the onlooker who cannot detect any conventionally closed housing in which the light sources have been enclosed and the louvre and cover have been integrated.

For direct and indirect light dispersion it uses two different “housings” that are visually separated from one another, yet are consistently connected by one luminaire body or frame made of extruded aluminium. The common look of a luminaire as a “light-emitting block in the room” is thus overcome. The lower part of the luminaire is equipped with an efficient louvre for direct and glare-free lighting whilst simultaneously illuminating the inside of the luminaire housing in a highly effective manner. The upper part of the luminaire emits a soft and indirect light onto the ceiling. The used T5 lamps are driven by electronic dimmers, which allow for individual illumination control and thus offer personally adjustable lighting effects. The Open Box luminaire combines an innovative, purist form with the advantages of conventional pendant luminaires – its design succeeds with a redefinition of both light and space.

PizzaKobra_Luminaire

red dot award best of the best : product design 2008

The snake in the pizza box – form for lighting of the future Similar to the evolution of species, the evolution of forms follows a constant flow: forms react to the requirements of their environment and their shape never remains static over long periods of time. The PizzaKobra luminaire has adapted this principle of constant change, transforming in shape so that it appears to be alive. The body of this luminaire consists of a reflective chrome-plated spiral made of stainless steel and aluminium. Inside is concealed flexible high-tech hinges making the PizzaKobra luminaire, as its namesake the cobra implies, highly adaptable; it curls up and unrolls, it rises and transforms from a table lamp to a floor lamp. When lying flat on a table or floor it looks like a “harmless” spiral, fitting perfectly into the pizza box in which it was delivered. With PizzaKobra the designer Ron Arad has created a luminaire that makes its presence felt due to its visual impact. Its sculptural, organic appearance is further emphasised by the fact that one cannot at first detect any visible switches. When turned off, only a transparent cable suggests that this is a luminaire. The stand-by sensor on the head of the luminaire emits an intense ruby-red light, like the watchful eye of the cobra. This sensor seems to be waiting for the simple touch of a finger to switch on the light. The PizzaKobra is equipped with contemporary lighting technology that allows for selective lighting: featuring six high-performance cool white LEDs of one watt each, the light-emitting head can be directed independently of the lamp body to emit light efficiently over a surface. With the strong visual impression of its organic design this luminaire is a link to a creative language of form in the future.

Pipe Terra floor light

red dot award best of the best : product design 2006

Luminous figure - aesthetics of the natural Light is never constant in the course of a day. The natural sunlight eventually finds its way even through the smallest cracks and gaps, creating an interplay of light and shadow. The naturalness of the light had already been used in the atria of classical antiquity to fascinating effect: the idea had been to skilfully directed beams of light into the interior. The Pipe Terra floor light combines an organic design with the use of innovative materials in order to provide the user with the highest possible degree of light exploitation. With its slim stem-like body, the lamp almost seems to move by itself and resembles a light sculpture in a room. The body of the lamp consists of a highly flexible steel tube covered by a transparent platinic silicone sheath, topped by a conical diffuser. The design of the Pipe Terra lends the floor light a new "natural" appearance that seems to enter into a symbiosis with the light. One essential aspect of this floor light design is its intelligent functionality that facilitates individual light scenarios in an uncomplicated way. According to need, users can choose between indirect and diffused, or direct and adjustable light. The tube of the lamp, manufactured using special processes, and the singular finish of the tube's coating, further add to the simple and highly functional tendency of the light. The organic appearance of the floor light is further enhanced by another aspect and function of the lamp: A "dark light option" allows for attenuated illumination and the lamp's internal reflector made of aluminium with random perforations emits tiny shafts of light. A functional principle which seems to come close to the natural dispersion of daylight.

Mouette Pendelleuchte

red dot award best of the best : product design 2005

Wings of harmony. Birds' wings do have something mystical. A possible explanation for this could be the image they convey - the desire to experience the vastness of the horizon. The Greek myth of Daedalus and Icarus - the escaping like a bird out of the Cretan labyrinth with wings made of wax and feathers - is a highly potent image of this desire for harmony with the elements. For the design, the model of a bird's wing is also interesting, since it is perfectly well constructed; unsurpassed in its proportions and mechanisms of action. The head of the Mouette pendant lamp is designed in the shape of a bird's wing. It is made of one single piece of polypropylene, manufactured in a rotary die-cast process. This kind of design optimises light emission; it is dispersed evenly and without shadows over the entire surface of the lamp head. The lamp, thus, casts a harmonic and flowing light. In the upper part, the lamp is designed with an opening that contains the source of light. This allows easy and unproblematic maintenance, an important feature considering that the Mouette lamp was conceived for the illumination of work and communal spaces. The lamp is used in all those spaces where an even, flowing light is in demand. The concept of the Mouette lamp features a symmetric as well as an asymmetric version, and by combining a number of units the lamp can create various lighting compositions and moods. The Mouette lamp adapts the exemplary model of a bird's wing to realise new innovative and aesthetic results in lighting and to illuminate spaces in a harmonious way - thus, the lamp certainly does expand the horizon of design.

Take it from my friend's email, just for sharing!

Mercury sospensione Pendant Luminaire

red dot award best of the best : product design 2008

Galaxies of light Huge pendant luminaires are at the centre of every interior, and often they offer the designer vast possibilities of creative expression – hardly any other object embodies the personal design convictions of a designer more intensively. The Mercury sospensione luminaire is a significant example of such a symbiosis between intention and form – its designer, Ross Lovegrove, who is known for his impressive and often icon-like organic designs, has conceived of the Mercury as a sculpture that merges many interesting characteristics. At first sight this pendant luminaire evokes the impression of a galaxy of luminescent objects that immediately attract the attention of anyone that enters the room. It consists of several “light stones” which, although fixed to it, seem to float freely underneath a simple aluminium disc. With their reflective, metallic finish, these objects look like drops of liquid metal that are constantly changing shape. Creating this impression of organic flow was made possible with a difficult-to-achieve combination of aluminium and chrome materials; the Mercury luminaire is produced using thermoplastic injection moulding, die-cast and injection-moulding technologies. Probably the most exciting aspect of the Mercury is to be found in the way it mirrors light and thus almost appears to be playing with the observer: light seems to float back and forth between the individual stones and is reflected in the shiny biomorphic surfaces. This pendant luminaire thus enters into an exciting interaction with the people and objects in a room: in daylight, Mercury is a sculpture that reflects the natural light as well as the movements of the persons around.

Itis Luminaire

red dot award best of the best : product design 2007

Suitable – form and zeitgeist Luminaires are an expression of contemporary zeitgeist and the variety of their possible variations and forms is almost infinite. The first luminaires in the 19th century that were powered by electricity – back then a new invention – were rather simple and functional in shape, mainly designed to be robust enough to withstand rough everyday use. These filament bulbs were rooted in simple sockets. It was not before Jugendstil and Art Déco that luminaires became playful objects that inspired people’s fantasy. In the 21st century too the question is how current technological developments can suitably be rendered into aesthetically pleasing forms. Against this backdrop the Itis luminaire employs a minimalist and consistent language of form suitable for its effective light emission and low power consumption LED technology. Its design combines geometric forms with a well-thought out functionality: The joint which connects the stem to the base allows the stem to be tilted from 0 to 90 degrees, and a second joint enables the head to be rotated by 180 degrees. Through this flexibility the luminaire allows for direct and indirect lighting, while the LED light source provides warm and intense illumination in the room. The intensity of the light can be continuously regulated through the integrated touch dimmer. The Itis luminaire is made of the materials metal, zamak (a zinc alloy) as well as plastic, and is available in a high-gloss black or a high-gloss white model. With a proportionally well-balanced form, it is a contemporary and coherent answer to the demands of our times.

Bossa pendant luminaire

red dot award best of the best : product design 2007

Changing light – the symbiosis of form and function The natural light of our environment is highly differentiated and changes continuously – daylight is a combination of different wavelengths of varied intensity and thus hardly ever stays constant. According to our activities during the day we tend to vary and deliberately reduce the intensity of daylight – we use curtains, blinds or even sunshades. A functionally designed luminaire has to simulate natural light and, ideally, allows us to easily vary and individually adjust the intensity of its artificial illumination. The Bossa pendant luminaire was designed to offer such adaptability and highly user-oriented variability. For this purpose its design was focused on a simple form, which according to its designer Fernando Prado aims at allowing the user to “interact” with it in an easy-to-understand manner. An important aspect of its design has been to lend it effective glare control, which can be adjusted to suit the user’s needs. This glare control consists of a reflector and an aluminium disc in the lower part of the luminaire. This disc also serves as a counter-weight when the reflector is moved. This design thus made further elements unnecessary, elements which would have obtruded the uniform language of form. Through both the possibility to change between direct and indirect illumination and the mechanical adaptability of the reflector, the intensity of lighting can again and again be comfortably varied, thereby creating different lighting effects in the room. This pendant luminaire successfully embodies an interesting symbiosis of form and function – with its design that consistently complements its functionality, it creates a new aesthetics.

LIFESAVER: World’s First Ultra Filtration Water Bottle

Over the years, Milan has evolved from merely hosting a furniture fair every spring to having almost every street taken over by all types of innovative design every April. This year, sustainable design joined in the fray more than ever, with many exciting exhibits highlighting socially conscious design, including the Well-Tech Awards. At this inspirational show we discovered the Lifesaver bottle - a beautifully simple concept for portable water filtration, and one that could make a real difference to a world increasingly threatened by shortages of clean, drinkable water.

But it was this level of development effort that has brought about a product that is exceptionally easy to use. Fill it with water by unscrewing the base and dipping it in the nearest puddle or stream, screw the base back and use the pump to force the water through to a teat at the other end. The clean water can then be drunk directly or poured into a separate container for storage. These simple instructions make it suitable for use by children, and in developing countries.
Costing £230 ($460), the Lifesaver isn’t exactly cheap, but it is a world first, and we’re sure the price reflects the genuinely innovative R&D that went into its development. Not only was it featured at Well-tech, it won ‘Best Technological Development for Future Soldier System Enhancement’ at Soldier Technology 2007. It’s ironic that a design that can bring world peace can also support world conflict, but here’s hoping it’s used for the former rather than the latter.

(Wow! really make in china),兩人相隔10年仙逝。
