Chocolate_Floor Lamp

red dot award : product design 2008
The Chocolate floor lamp was based on the idea to combine high functionality with reduced style. Its form therefore follows the motto of consistent minimalism and takes the luminaire as a graphic element in space. The definite distinction of the materials aluminium and transparent crystal polycarbonate is the characteristic feature of this luminaire. An intelligent technology allows creating individual settings without considerable effort. By combining daylight with a movement sensor, Chocolate establishes an interactive relationship with the existing and the desired light conditions of the surroundings. Therefore the use of T16 fluorescent lamps saves up to 75 per cent of energy consumption. A Prismoptic reflector guarantees high light performance and agreeable visual comfort.
